12/23/2023 0 Comments Struck mini dozer![]() Even the original petcock (fuel shut off) still works as it should. Gas tank has a dent in it (please see close-up photo), but DOES NOT LEAK. I just installed a new battery, changed the oil, gave the carb a quick cleaning, and installed a new fuel line (still had the original which was as hard as a rock!). The original Tecumseh 8HP starts (Electric Start!!) and runs well. It's not the best looking/fitting piece, but it does its job. These photos were taken today, Decem(0 degrees fahrenheit!!) and the dozer is idling nicely while pics were being taken. Also, somewhere along the line someone made their own battery cover using a sheet of stainless. It would be a very easy job to fabricate a new bracket. I do have the complete air-filter cannister, just not the bracket. The only missing parts that I can tell are the original air cleaner "holder bracket" that allows the cannister to be mounted to the carb, one of the joystick grips and the original battery box cover. I have another Struck MD-55 (earlier version of the MD1600) that I have brought to vintage car and tractor shows in the back of the old chevy pickup and I can tell you that these little dozers do draw a crowd!!. Would make a PERFECT CHRISTMAS GIFT for the guy that has everything and "needs" a Fun Winter Project. ![]() ![]() Figure I might as well let it go to someone that can enjoy it now. This is a project that I will not be getting to any time soon. STRUCK is located in Wisconsin, USA and are still in business today. To the best of my knowledge, these were the last version of the belt/chain driven Mini Dozers as after the MD1600, they went to hydro-drive. Up for sale is my late 70's (or possibly early 80's?) STRUCK MD1600 Mini Dozer.
